diverted eyes mirroring shame or guilt

comes seeping in through inner crevices

assumed sealed

with an insistent stillness resisting

your flight

comes totally naked and unconcerned, raw and unimpressed

for appearances matter not

when needs acquiesce

to your soul’s demands.
